Oct. 6th, 2018 08:26 pmAfter Flashpoint, the timeline is reset - well, as close to reset as it can be. Barry's in for surprises throughout his day, but probably the biggest one occurs when he heads to STAR Labs after taking down the not-so-creatively-named Thief. As Joe and Wally are about to head out, he claps Barry on the shoulder and says, "Do me a favor, Barry, check on your sister. She texted that she was taking some time off, but I'd feel better if you talked to her in person. You know how she can get."
Nora's apartment is small and covered in books and papers from her doctoral research. Right now, the doctoral student herself is lying on the couch that usually doubles as a work space with the TV on, staring blankly at Guys and Dolls more than watching it because she can't muster the energy to change the channel. She hasn't showered in like two days, but that's fine. It's fine, even though Joe's been texting her to remind her that it's okay to be not fine when her dad just died and that she can talk to him anytime. It's easier to stay where she is and hope that her subconscious is processing her grief or something while her conscious mind is numbed by the exploits of the world's most boring musical.
Joe also texted her that he was sending Barry her way, but that's not enough to get her off the couch, either, and neither is the sound of knocking at the door. "Just use your key, Barry," she calls out.
